Hummingbird Farms' Newest Baby...

This is one proud Mama!

And this is one sweet baby! We're calling her "Gran."

This picture was taken the day after she was born. Guess what? She was born right in the middle of the lavender field! Just before taking this picture, her Mama brought her up to our dining room windows to show her off. I wish I had my camera then.... Anyway, it was so obvious that she was proud and wanted us to see her new baby!

Is Mama showing off or being uber-protective?? Baby is adorable! I love the way the hay is stacked so that it looks like Baby just crawled out.

What a cutie! I hope to have a few Longhorns on our place one of these days. I'll have to find out where you got yours! What's a Texas farm/ranch without Longhorns?
Loved the pics of Bob, too! Do you loan him out to do taxes? It's about that time and we have to find another accountant...

OMG what a sweet baby and what a wonderful mommy to bring the baby by for show and tell. It's amazing to me how the baby cows come out with their big beautiful eyes wide open and everything. Can I give her the middle name of Merry? Gran Merry! Love it. LOL
Thanks for sharing. :-)

Hey Debi - Thanks for dropping by and leaving sweet words for Tucker -- BTW, I've always called him Tucker-dog because so often he (& I) forgot that he was canine. He's missed every minute of the day.

I am so envious about how cool your blog looks! Wow, what a great job! Not to mention the super cute calf photos - what a doll. Longhorns are the best!

Hope Santa was good to you & Jack! Happy New Year!

You know...I was just sitting here thinking while soaking up those precious pictures of the NEW Hummingbird Farms baby. I betcha his momma was glad he was born via no-horns...geez...can you imagine being a longhorn...and actually delivering a calf with long horns....yow-zers!!! OK...I know...I shouldn't be thinking this late at night...just can't help myself. LOVE his spots!!

Blessings...
